One of my fellow designers on the Facebook group “Canva design circle” asked me how to make glitter fonts in Canva? Though I had seen a trick to create glitter text with frames in Canva on YouTube and shared the same but she was required to write with cursive text.
I thought to do some research about this technique in Canva. I figured out a couple of more options for this purpose. These would be quite interesting for you while designing anything for your new year’s eve. I am sure adding glitter text with shine will make your design super cool and distinctive.
Let’s start with the first technique.
How to create 3D glitter text with letter frames in Canva?
Step -1-First you need to select all relevant letter frames from the elements section of Canva. Place them all on your slide, positioned them with a tidy look so that these will look aligned. See the below image for your better understanding.
Step-2-Now go to the photos section and write the keyword “Glitter background”. You will get a lot of glitter background options. You simply need to drag and drop your required photos into the letter frames.
Step-3-To create a 3D look for these letters, you first need to download this slide in png format with transparent background. Upload this file again. See the below snippet for your reference.
Step-4-Now apply the below adjustments on this png image and slightly increase its size.
Step-5- Lock the original design and move the png image backward.
You will achieve a 3D look for your design like below.
How to write with glitter fonts in Canva?
Step -1-I have checked Canva but could not find any glittery font so I have downloaded few fonts through fontspace and upload them to my brand’s kit in Canva. You can learn here about how to upload fonts in Canva?. This option is available for pro users only. Don’t worry you can avail 30 days free trial period offered by canva.
Step-2- Write your text and change the font into your uploaded font.
Step-3-If you want to apply shine around your text then use the font combination styles available in Canva. See below for your quick reference. After selecting any of the below-shared font style, You need to change the text into your uploaded glittery font.
