In this tutorial, You will learn how to create a 3D effect in Canva for smartphones.
I was inspired to create this effect after seeing many designs in the Canva Facebook group for a 3D Instagram feed and letter frames.
I have created a few designs with the same concept. For the technique used to create this 3D effect, follow the below simple steps and watch the video for better understanding.
How to Create 3d Effect in Canva for smartphone ?
Step 1 – Get a “3D smartphone mockup” from the Canva elements section.
Step 2 – Add any photo under this smartphone frame and download this slide as JPG/PNG. Your frame must be on the object or area which you want to keep inside your smartphone.
Step 3 – Now upload this file and apply “remove background”. Here comes the most tricky part. You need to use the “Erase” and “Restore” brushes to remove the outer parts of your frames as well as to keep the inside area of the smartphone. This feature is available for Canva pro users only. You can avail of 30 days free trial for Canva pro here.
Important: Adjust another smartphone frame on top of the frame where you apply the above process. This will help you to show the clean edges of your smartphone.
Step 4 – Now apply “Remove background” again on your main photo. Keep the main object of your photo without background and adjust it on top of the frame that you created after Step 3.
Download all the below designs for the rest of the elements used. I got all these elements from the Canva library and found them useful to create various designs.
